Week 1 - God’s Plan

 

Verse: No one has ever seen, heard, or imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him. - 1 Corinthians 2:9

 

Commentary: We think we know best, but the Bible tells us God’s plan is so much better.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the plan that you have for my life. Even when my own plans don’t work out, your plan is still in place for my life. Help me to follow your will and to always honor the plan that you have for me.

It’s in your name we pray, Amen.

 

 

 

Week 2 - God’s Gifts

 

Verse: Every good and perfect gift is from above. - James 1:17

 

Commentary: God's gifts may not look like a present you opened for Christmas but His gifts will be exactly what you need, when you need it.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the gifts you have given me. Help me to always recognize the gift you give me even if it doesn’t look like what I expect. And thank you for sending the greatest gift of all, your son Jesus. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.





 

Week 3 - God’s Love

 

Verse: Live a life of love. Love other people just as Christ loves us. - Ephesians 5:2

 

Commentary: The more you let God show you His love for you, the more it will shape the way you view your relationship with Him. God likes you. He loves you to the point that He would choose to place your sin on His Son, in order to restore a relationship with you.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your amazing and perfect love. Help me to always show that same love to others around me in everything I do. Help me to lead others to you through love. Thank you for always loving me through everything I do. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.


 

 

 

Week 4 - Morning Prayer

 

Verse: Lord, every morning you hear my voice.  Every morning, I tell what I need and wait for your answer. - Psalm 5:3

 

Commentary: When you begin your days in the presence of God, you build a foundation for God's unconditional love.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to start every single day in your presence. Help me to learn from my time with you and that I seek you every morning when I wake up. Thank you for the opportunity to build my daily foundation with you. It’s in your name that we pray, Amen.



 

 

Week 5 - God’s Promise for Freedom

 

Verse: Christ made us free. So stand strong. Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law. - Galatians 5:1

 

Commentary: Many times we find ourselves judging ourselves by how well we follow man’s rules, but Jesus freed us by His grace. It’s His grace that makes us right with God, not how well we follow the rules of man.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the freedom you have given and promised us. Help us to understand that we find our identity in your freedom, and not the laws of man. Show me how to always live life free in your name. Thank you for your grace and mercy that has given me freedom. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.



 

 

Week 6 - God Promises you His Comfort

 

Verse: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. - 2 Corinthians 1:3

 

Commentary: You are God's beloved. You were bought at an incredible price. He will bring you comfort when you are sad or worried about something.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for your peace and comfort in every situation. Thank you for never giving us more than we can handle. Help us to always seek your comfort whenever we are worried or hurting. Because we know you give peace that passes all understanding. We give you glory for the wisdom we will gain through every difficult situation we go through. It’s in your name that we pray, Amen.



 

 

Week 7 - God is Near

 

Verse: Be strong and brave. The Lord your God will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you. - Deuteronomy 31:6

 

Commentary: One of the most important promises God makes to us, as His children, is His promise to be near. The enemy will try to make us think Jesus is not near, when we do things wrong, but God says he’ll never leave us no matter what.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for staying with us through every situation we go through. Help me to always remember that you will never leave us or be far from us. You have always remembered us and that’s why you sent your son for us. thank you for your presence even when the enemy tries to stop us. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.


 

 

 

Week 8 - The Spirit God Gives Us

 

Verse: God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid. He gave us a spirit of power and love and self-control. - 2 Timothy 1:7

Commentary: In times that we are overwhelmed or afraid, we must always remember that the spirit God has given us is a spirit that can win against anything. Because when we respond with love, power and self-control, it honors God in everything we do.

 

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the spirit you have given us. Thank you for the promise of victory and for the ability to show love like you do. Help us to be an example to everyone around us, that we can show them what your spirit looks like. And that we won’t fear what is before us because of the spirit inside us. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.


 

 

 

Week 9 - God’s Faithfulness

 

Verse: God is faithful. He is the One who has called you to share life with His son, Jesus Christ our Lord. - 1 Corinthians 1:9

Commentary: God has always been and will always be faithful. Sometimes in life it is easy to worry about things we go through, but when we remind ourselves of times that God has been faithful, it can make life much easier. God has given us life with His son Jesus and our faith must always be in the Lord.

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, give me the desire and ability to see you, hear you, talk to you, and give thanks to you. In doing so, I pray that my faith will grow, as I understand you in new and deeper ways. Thank you Jesus for always listening. It’s in your name I pray, Amen.





 

Week 10 - God’s Word

 

Verse: But Jesus said, “Those who hear the teaching of God and obey it, they are the ones who are truly blessed. - Luke 11:28

Commentary: Jesus talks about the importance of knowing the word in this verse. The word is also the greatest weapon we have as a Christian. But Jesus speaks on how when we know the word and study it, we can live a truly blessed life.

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the word you have given us. Help me to always live in your word and to always study and use it. Thank you for providing us a weapon against the enemy. Let me constantly learn more about what your word says. It’s in your name we pray, Amen

 

 

 

Week 11 - God’s Grace

 

Verse: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. - Ephesians 2:8

Commentary: As sinners, we have all been saved by grace. Because when the Lord sent His son Jesus to be crucified for our sins, we were given grace through His sacrifice. We ourselves could have never earned the grace of God and that is why it is a gift.

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace. Thank you for sending your son in my place, so that my sins have been paid for. Help me to always show grace to others just like you have shown me. It is in your name that I pray, Amen.



 

 

 

Week 12 - God’s Mercy

 

Verse: He saved us because of His mercy, not because of good deeds we did to be right with God. He saved us through the washing that made us new people. - Titus 3:5

Commentary: A lot of times it is easy for us to get down on ourselves for making mistakes or failing at something we do. But we are to always remember the mercy that God has for us. It is His mercy that covers us and makes us new.

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the mercy that you have shown me. Without your mercy I would be lost. Because it is your mercy that makes me knew. Help me to always better myself because of your mercy. And help me to always show mercy to others. It is in your name I pray, Amen.


 

 

 

Week 13 - God Promises His Return

 

Verse: I’m going to my father’s house to prepare a place for you. Then, I will come back to get you and take you where I am. - John 14:2-3

 

Commentary: After Jesus rose from the grave, He went to Heaven to prepare a place for us. He promises to come back one day to bring us to Heaven with Him.

Prayer: (Have players repeat after you)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the place you have prepared for me. Thank you for sending your son to save us. Help us to take the time we have to lead others to you, so that they will live in the place you have prepared too. Let us use every day to be a light to others. It’s in your name that we pray, Amen.
